Haleakala National Park offers many opportunities for the public to get involved. Volunteers with their own housing and transportation on Maui can help in a variety of ways both in the Summit and Kipahulu Areas. Project may include administrative/clerical, maintenance (backcountry, cabins, carpentry, general projects, trails, sanitation, etc.), eradication of non-native species, native plant propagation, endangered species monitoring, presentation of educational programs to schools and visitors, staffing visitor centers and much more. Haleakala National Park has a need for volunteers year-round.
