Description: "Leaves alternate, obovate-oblanceolate to oblong-elliptic, 1-2(-4) cm long, 3-9 mm wide, rounded and sometimes mucronulate at the apex, conspicuously wrinkled but nervation often scarcely visible. Flowers in terminal heads 1.8-2.5 cm diameter, usually overtopped by outgrowing leafy axes after anthesis. Petals ± 2 mm long, scarious.
